Tuesday, March 19, 7 p.m., Abbot Library

Marblehead, Massachusetts - 3 Voices continues its mission to empower women to use their voices on important issues by presenting three programs this spring focusing on addiction.
The first program will be held on Tuesday, March 19, at 7 p.m., at Abbot Library, 235 Pleasant Street in Marblehead, when Georgia Miller, PhD, and Ellen Terry, MHS, discuss “What does it mean to be addicted?”
Miller has taught an array of graduate and undergraduate counseling and psychology courses at institutions of higher learning and currently teaches at UMass-Lowell.

Terry has 30 years of experience as an addiction counselor in hospital out-patient clinician services and currently serves as a psychiatric triage clinician at Salem Hospital in the emergency center.
“The opioid crisis and addiction are issues that have touched just about everyone. But it’s something we’re not talking enough about,” said Betty Lautner, one of the 3 Voices founders. “We want to get that conversation going by presenting accurate terminology, information and important human insights.”
