5 Stories That Made Waves

1. Layne Millington New Marblehead Principal: Marblehead Superintendent of Schools Greg Maass told teachers and staff on Wednesday afternoon that finalist Layne Millington, currently principal at Swampscott High, will be the new principal at Marblehead High School.

2. Clock Tower: This What $2.1 Million in Repairs Looks Like: Perhaps the biggest item for the upcoming Town Meeting will be whether taxpayers will agree to $2.1 million or more in repairs to the historic clock tower at Abbot Hall.

3. Rare Find: Condos For Sale at $173K: The Fair Housing Committee told the Board of Selectmen this week that there are four affordable condos for sale at the Intrepid Circle building at Marblehead or Peach Highlands.

4. Girl Reports Man Following Her After Basketball: Police received a report of a man following a girl after basketball practice. The girl was walking down the steps of Marblehead Veternas Middle School when she noticed a man walking inbound on the Pleasant Street sidewalk.

 5. Would You Like Some Scrambled Eggs With Your Ice Cream: At Terry's Old Fashion Ice Cream Shop, you can now have both. Breakfast and lunch were recently added to the menu.
