: The Board of Selectmen unanimously passed a motion to end Marblehead's winter parking ban three weeks early at their meeting at Wednesday night. The parking ban, which was originally scheduled to end on April 15, will now end on Saturday, March 24 at 12:01 a.m., thanks to an unseasonably warm winter that produced very few snow and ice storms.

: Marblehead's newest restaurant, Soall Bistro, opened its doors to customers for the first time Tuesday morning and sibling owners Mia Lunt and Tan Nguyen were eager to explain some of the Vietnamese restaurant's menu items.

: A foot chase through the woods near Friday morning prompted school officials to order the playgrounds cleared and students kept indoors. The safety measure was ordered as police were combing the area for Ethan Levine, 19, of 30 Gerald Road, Marblehead, who pleaded innocent Monday in Lynn District Court to a charge of being a minor in possession of alcohol.

: In the coming weeks, two empty storefronts on Washington Street will be transformed into Marblehead's newest businesses - a bakery and a candy shoppe. According to local Remax real estate agent Rich Cooper, the space at 152 Washington St., formerly rented by , has been claimed and will be turned into a candy shoppe. Just two doors down, the former home of the , located at 146 Washington St., will be reopening as a bakery.
