: Members of the have been fine-tuning their ventilation skills by training on an adjustable "roof prop" that was recently constructed alongside the on Pleasant Street. The roof prop was designed with replacement partitions so firefighters could repeatedly saw panels out at varying pitches.
: owner Barry Edelman appeared before the Board of Selectmen Wednesday night to ask for permission to more than double the seating capacity of his restaurant on School Street. Edelman, who also serves as the restaurant's head chef, told board members that he was "excited to get back in the kitchen" and said his expansion from 1,200-square-feet to 2,300-square-feet will allow him to seat 100.

: The Coast Guard has officially called off the search for a Marblehead man whom they believe fell from a tugboat into the water off of Newport R.I. Wednesday afternoon.
