5 Things You Need to Know Today: March 29

Today is Thursday, March 29, and here are the five things you need to know:

1. Be prepared for some showers this morning. The National Weather Service is predicting that local residents can expect showers, mainly before 1 p.m. Otherwise it will be cloudy, with a high near 45. Tonight should be cloudy, with a low around 34. (sunrise, 6:30 a.m.; low tide, 10:35 a.m.; high tide, 4:52 p.m.; sunset, 7:06 p.m.)

2. After 20 years in business, on Washington Street has closed its doors. The owner of the restaurant, Frank Pellino, appeared before the Board of Selectmen Wednesday night to and to discuss the possibility of reopening in May.

3. At a Selectmen's Meeting Wednesday night, Fire Chief Jason Gilliland presented employee Gary Orellana recognizing his quick response to a fire that was outside of on Washington Street in Jauary.
