2. A proposed seasonal ban on leaf blower use in Marblehead was narrowly defeated at Town Meeting Tuesday night. The proposal, which triggered a heated discussion at the Performing Arts Center of , was defeated by a margin of 285 to 211. for the full story.

3. Also at Town Meeting Tuesday night, local residents approved a $650,000 project to make Marblehead's universally accessible. The proposal passed by a margin of 456 to 30. for the full story.
