The National Weather Service is predicting that local residents can expect showers, with a temperature falling to around 48 by 5 p.m. Tonight should be partly cloudy, with a low around 36. (sunrise, 6:32 a.m.; high tide, 9:52 a.m.; low tide, 4:14 p.m.; sunset, 4:22 p.m)

3. The Marblehead Planning Board will meet tonight in the Selectmen's Meeting Room of Abbot Hall. The meeting, scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m., is expected to feature a discussion about a proposed condominium project on Green Street.
