Abandoned Couch Left on the Street for Weeks

Excerpts from the Marblehead Police Department log.

Tuesday, May 19

At 10:32 a.m., a caller reported a neighbor’s boat to be blocking a driveway. The caller also reported that the boat owner also threw snow in the neighbor’s driveway.

At 10:42 a.m., a woman reported a couch had been sitting on the street in front of her house for two weeks. The landlord told her it wasn’t their responsibility and DPW said the same thing. The woman was instructed to contact the Board of Health.

At 11:46 a.m., a woman reported that three men in a vehicle with New York plates pulled into her driveway, got out of their vehicle and opened the trunk of their car. One of the men then walked around her car before getting back in his vehicle and leaving with the trunk still open.

At 2:55 p.m., a man reported that his son’s Playstation was missing along with a game. Playstation instructed him to report the situation to police and then Playstation could look up the system to determine whether it was being used or had been traded.
