Abbot Public Library To Offer Plymouth Rock Virtual Tour
Come and learn more about the pilgrims prior to their departure from England and their beginnings in the New World.

MARBLEHEAD, MA—How much do you really know about “America’s Hometown” beyond Plimoth Plantation, Mayflower II, and the Rock?
If you answered "not a lot," don't worry. The Abbot Public Library will get you up to speed with an upcoming event that promises to be both fun and educational.
On Monday, March 30 at 7 p.m., at the Abbot Public Library, local tour guide Heide Hasselmann will provide a virtual tour of Plymouth’s most historical sites.

Come and learn more about the pilgrims prior to their departure from England and their beginnings in the New World, and hear some fascinating stories about their subsequent years in Plymouth.
According to the library, Heide Hasselmann is a resident of Duxbury and has been a local tour guide since 2002 and is a member of the Greater Boston Tour Guide Association. She conducts tours from Boston’s North Shore to Newport Rhode Island. For some years, she has volunteered her services to the local Senior Center and eventually photographed all her tours, and now presents them as “virtual” or “armchair” tours at other senior centers and libraries.
