UPDATED: What's Open and When on Wednesday
Schools are still closed, but the rest of the town is planning to attempt a return to normal.

For residents with kids in Marblehead Public Schools, Wednesday will still be a bit atypical since the schools are closed again on Jan. 28. For everyone else, however, things are starting to get back to normal.

Below is a snapshot of what you need to know on Wednesday.
Travel ban:

- From the Marblehead town website: “Due to the severe snow storm and resulting snow removal, Regularly scheduled Tuesday collection will now take place on Saturday January 31. We will follow the regular collection schedule for the remainder of this week.”
Town offices:
- UPDATED at 7:56 a.m. Wednesday -- Town offices located at the Mary Alley Municipal Building will open at 10 a.m.
Abbot Public Library
- Regular hours.
- The program, “Rock, Gravel, Sand: The Geology of Our Local Beaches,” with Professor Lindley Hanson,
scheduled for Wednesday, Jan. 28, has been rescheduled for Wednesday, April 29.
To do:
- Clear a three-foot area around any fire hydrants in your yard.
- Clear snow from exhaust pipes of vehicles BEFORE starting them.
- Clear snow from your furnace exhaust area.
- Check on your neighbors.
- Share your snow photos on the Marblehead Patch Facebook page.
