Alert: Major Road Detoured Thursday in Marblehead

If Pleasant Street in Marblehead is part of your normal travel path, take note: You will be detoured on Thursday.

The Marblehead Police Department has announced that Pleasant Street heading into Marblehead will be detoured at Smith Street, over to Devereux Street and back to Pleasant.

Outbound Pleasant Street traffic will remain unchanged. Likewise, MBTA buses and large trucks will continue to operate in both directions along Pleasant Street rather than being detoured.

Officers will be on hand for traffic control. The detour is expected to end at 2 p.m.
