MARBLEHEAD, MA — The Marblehead-based North Shore Civic Ballet will open its 2026 online auction to help provide aspiring dancers with resources and training to study ballet and perform in the North Shore region of Massachusetts.
The bidding begins on June 5 and lasts through June 26 here.
The auction's net proceeds support performances, new choreography, costuming, scholarships for aspiring dancers, special educational projects, and equipment and resources for training.
Shoppers will find gift certificates and gift cards from restaurants, cafes, bookstores, boutiques, hotels, resorts, museums, libraries and theaters on the North Shore and across New England.
Listed hotel and resort stays include Maine Forest Yurts, Bayside Resort and Hawthorne Hotel. The auction also includes experiences and admissions from venues and attractions such as Albacore Park, North Country Rivers, Mass Bay Lines, Captains Cove Adventure Golf, Clark’s Bears, Champlain Valley Exposition, York Wild Kingdom and Amusement Park, Squam Lakes Natural Science Center and the New England Aquarium.
Other offerings include passes or gift certificates connected to cultural organizations, including The Preservation Society of Newport County, the Paul Revere House, Hancock Shaker Village, The Butterfly Place, Sandwich Glass Museum, Real Pirates of Salem, Larz Anderson Auto Museum, Boston Duck Tours and Heritage Museum and Gardens.
Theater tickets are also available for Northshore Music Theatre, The Cabot and Palace Theaters. Restaurant certificates include Kowloon Restaurant, Spitfire Tacos and Soall Viet Kitchen.
"With the support of our donors and bidders, the North Shore Civic Ballet will provide more educational and performing opportunities for another generation of dancers. People can still get involved in the auction by volunteering with the ballet company, asking merchants to donate a gift certificate or gift card for the auction, or making a purchase," said Paula Shiff, Artistic Director, North Shore Civic Ballet.
New items will be added throughout the event . Financial contributions may also be made directly to the ballet company.
Donations of gift certificates and gift cards are being accepted during the auction and may be dropped off at the Marblehead School of Ballet, 115 Pleasant Street, in Marblehead.
