MARBLEHEAD, MA — A Marblehead man won $1 million as part of a recent $526 million Powerball drawing.
Richard Mulombre won the prize in the July 18 drawing.
Mulombre won the prize after the first five numbers on his Quic Pic ticket matched those selected in the drawing.
He claimed his $1 million prize (before taxes) on Thursday at the Massachusetts State Lottery's Dorchester headquarters.
He said he plans to put the winnings towards retirement.
His winning ticket was purchased at Quisqueya Food Mart, 34 Union St in Lynn, while he was waiting with his kids for a pizza order nearby.
The store receives a $10,000 bonus for its sale of this ticket.
