Audrey M. (Carlsen) Hufnagel

Audrey M. (Carlsen) Hufnagel,age 83, wife of the late Robert H. Hufnagel died at home Monday afternoon, May 20, 2013 surrounded by her family. 

Born in Baltimore, MD, the daughter of the late Maurice and Edna D. (Renner) Carlsen, she was raised and
educated in local schools in the Baltimore area. Following her graduation from high school she attended Bard Avon Secretarial School.  Mrs. Hufnagel then was employed by the Alexander and Alexander Insurance Co until marrying her late husband and eventually settling in Marblehead.

A devoted and loving mother, she was devoted to family and had been an active member of the Clifton Lutheran
Church in Marblehead.  She was a member of the Harbor Woman’s Club and the Companions Dinner Club.

Mrs. Hufnagel is survived by six children, Robert Hughes Hufnagel, Jr. and his wife Rena of Maryland, Carl
Hufnagel and his wife Barbara of Pennsylvania, Ellen H. Fernandes and her husband Paul of MA, John Charles Hufnagel and his wife Patricia of CA, Margaret H. Slattery and her husband Timothy and Jane Slepian and her husband David of Marblehead; 16 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Her funeral will be held on Friday, May 31, 2013 at 11:00 AM in the Clifton Lutheran Church, 150 Humphrey St., Marblehead.  Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visitation will be on Thursday, May 29 from 4:00PM to 8:00 PM in the funeral home.  Interment will be in Waterside Cemetery, Marblehead.  Those
