Aviv Centers for Living chooses Eric S. Levy as new Board Chair to lead into a new era
As Aviv opens the doors on its new expanded campus in Peabody, we have also chosen a new chair for our board of Directors. Eric S. Levy of Marblehead, has been a member of the Aviv board of directors since 2008 and has held a number of leadership positions with other community organizations on the North Shore for many years. Eric is looking forward to turning to his extensive business experience and deep Jewish community roots to lead Aviv at this important point in its 65 year history. Levy credits the Aviv’s rich past for bringing us into the future.
“Having grown up in this community and seen the evolution of our diverse community organizations, I look at the long legacy of what has been accomplished over the years at Aviv and the great visionary leaders of our past and I am honored to be following them to serve this community at this important time in our history,” Says Levy.

Mr. Levy succeeds Andrew Katz who since 2010 helped to lead Aviv through the construction process of the Waldfogel Health Center in Peabody and was instrumental in creating the partnership with the North Suburban Jewish Community Center (NSJCC) to bring intergenerational programming to the Aviv campus.
To Mr. Levy, Aviv represents many of the best parts of the Jewish community. He feels caring for our elders is an important part of any strong community, and it is critical to be there to help others when they need us the most. He also sees the opportunity for Aviv to differentiate itself in the changing health care environment with a new state of the art skilled nursing facility that will serve the community Jewishly. Further, he sees the opportunity for the Aviv Centers for Living campus in Peabody to become a new center for vibrant Jewish life on the North Shore with the co-location of the NSJCC and the Jewish Heritage Center celebrating everyday our past, present and future on the North Shore.
