Peabody Company is Second Highest Event Donor, Commits to ICycle 2014
HomeStart recently visited the Peabody, Mass. headquarters of Energi to thank employees for participating in HomeStart’s 6th annual fundraising spinning challenge, ICycle 2013. Energi’s ICycle participants kicked off the 9-hour cycling event that raised money for HomeStart, a Boston-based nonprofit dedicated to ending and preventing homelessness. ICycle 2013 was HomeStart’s most successful event, due to donors such as Energi, one of the top fundraisers. More than $100,000 was raised during the daylong hourly spin classes that were held outdoors on February 28, 2013 at One International Place. Energi raised $10,000 through donations made by the company and by individual riders. Energi has committed to participating in ICycle 2014.

“Energi is a wonderful company with compassionate, caring and community-oriented employees,” said Wood-Boyle. “HomeStart wanted to personally thank Energi for their tremendous effort in helping us make the 2013 ICycle the best one yet.”
Wood-Boyle and Adams met with Energi VP of Corporate Projects Jim Nentwig, SPV of Underwriting and Actuary Timothy Kolojay and Director of Government Relations Megan McCarthy.
“The visit from HomeStart was a compelling experience touching the hearts of Energi employees. This definitely served as a motivation for them to participate in the ICycle event next year, with our goal to increase Energi participants and surpass fundraising goals,” said Edward Scott, Senior Vice President of Marketing & Industry Relations.
Thirteen Peabody-based Energi employees and strategic partners from Gravoc Associates and Aon Benfield participated in the fundraiser. The ICycle session was led by Annie Brown, Energi Strategic Planning Manager. Team members from Gravoc Associates also assisted Energi in the design of special company-branded t-shirts.
