Newburyport Resident Meredith Bosley O’Dea, MS, CCC-SLP Receives Graduation Award from MGH Institute of Health Professions

BOSTON – Newburyport Resident Meredith Bosley O’Dea, MS, CCC-SLP, was awarded the Faculty Award for Teaching Excellence during MGH Institute of Health Professions Commencement ceremonies on May 9, 2013.

Bosley O’Dea graduated from the MGH Institute in 2003, with a Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders at the Boston health sciences graduate school. She works as the Assistant Coordinator of External Clinical Education, Clinical Instructor, and Clinical Faculty Coordinator for the Interprofessional Dedicated Education Unit in the CSD Department.

This award honors a distinguished faculty member in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders (CSD) who presents material in a highly effective manner, fosters an atmosphere of individual inquiry, uses class time efficiently, welcomes discussion and expression of diverse points of view, and excels in teaching his or her course.

A total of 492 students in nursing, physical therapy, communication sciences and disorders, and health professions education graduated during the MGH Institute’s ceremonies at Boston’s Hynes Convention Center. Founded in 1977, the school has more than 1,200 students and 5,000 alumni.
