Right at Home of the North Shore and Merrimack Valley is a family owned and operated home care agency that is celebrating 10 years of serving seniors on the North Shore and Merrimack Valley. We grew from one location to four locations serving. We provide all levels of private duty home care including companionship, personal care, home health aide and private nursing. We specialize in Alzheimer’s and dementia care. Our aides go through sensitivity training to learn what it is like to experience physically and cognitively what our clients might experience through the Virtual Dementia Tour. Right at Home is licensed by the Commonwealth of MA and carries all liability and workers comp insurances to protect clients and their families. All caregivers are background checked, tested and trained before they start to work for the agency.  We support ongoing health care education for all our workers. We are responsive and reliable.

Right at Home is one of the few agencies north of Boston that uses the Telephony time carding system. This system insures families that we are there with their loved one when we are scheduled to be there and alerts us if a caregiver is late. This system protects our clients 24 hours a day.

From Rosaleen Doherty:

I started Right at Home of the North Shore and Merrimack Valley with my husband and business partner Jay Kenney ten years ago when we decided to change our lives- for the better. At the time, we had an infant girl and a four year old boy. Over the past decade, we have worked with thousands of seniors and their families to foster independence in the home with companion and home health care services. We can help provide respite to a caregiver, companionship, dressing assistance, grooming assistance, incontinence care, meal preparation, medication reminders and transportation to appointments. Our mission is to improve the quality of life for those we serve. Our agency works 24 hours a day and we can provide services for as little as 1 hour or provide a live-in caregiver.

I try to stay active in the local community. I am Past President of North Shore Women in Business and of The Rotary Club of Marblehead Harbor (if any of you would like to come to breakfast and meet our great group- contact me!). We are active participants in the North Shore and Merrimack Valley Alzheimer’s Partnerships, which do the grassroots, work of the Alzheimer’s Association. Right at Home belongs to our local home care association, the Home Care Alliance to stay on top of best practices and trends in private duty home care. I belong to the Society of Certified Senior Advisors, which is an organized of professionals certified and committed to working with elder clients through a code of ethics and a discipline of understanding.
