The students at St. Stephen’s Nursery School are not only learning about being thankful this season, they are helping less fortunate families in NY and NJ.
“When I was told that members of St. Stephen’s Church were collecting buckets full of cleaning supplies to be distributed to Hurricane Sandy victims, I knew this would be a great teaching opportunity for our students”, said Debra Wonson, Executive Director of St. Stephen’s Nursery School. “ Our wonderful parents, teachers and families have been very generous in their collecting items for our “cleaning bucket” and the children are excited to help others.”
All cleaning bucket items are being collected and buckets will be distributed through UMCOR the United Methodist Committee on Relief, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to alleviating human suffering around the globe.
