Talented Singers Sought for North Shore Star Award

Beverly, MA--- For the fifth time, The Beverly Rotary Club and co-sponsor North Shore Music Theatre will host the "North Shore Star" singing competition on Friday, March 1, 2013, from 6 to 11 PM, at Danversport Yacht Club, in Danvers, MA. Auditions will be held January 21st at the North Shore Music Theatre. 

 

This event will include a silent & live auction and full course dinner, followed by a wonderful evening of live music, featuring 16 of the region's most talented vocalists who will compete for the title of "North Shore Star."

 

A panel of 3 professional theater and entertainment judges will select the evening's winner, who will receive cash and other prizes.

 

All proceeds from the event will support The Beverly Rotary Foundation scholarship and charity endowment, which continues to grow each year in terms of its scholarship awards and charitable outreach to the Beverly community.

 

Talent is being pre-screened for this event and interested vocalists are asked to audition at North Shore Music Theatre, 62 Dunham Road in Beverly, on Monday, January 21st.  The auditions will be held from 6 pm to 9 pm, and anyone interested in signing up for the audition should contact Tom Rosa by phone at (781) 662-1965, or by email attomrosa@live.com.   Vocalists must be at least 16 years of age, have singing experience, and live in the Boston area.

 

Tickets for the North Shore Star event include appetizers, full course dinner, dessert, and the show.  Tickets are $75 per person, and reserved tables of eight are available at $600. Early booking is recommended, as this event will sell out quickly.
