Judy is a painter and mixed media artist. She says “For me, a blank canvas is a birthplace. Each painting grows from what I feel in that particular space and time, expressed often by the simplicity of a single object. Joy and gratitude fill my life and my art. Colors and shapes open the play and images slide on stage from memories. The dance of patterns is everywhere – in nature, in faces, in surfaces - and I celebrate the random imperfections of age, weather, and mishap and the energetic play of colors with one another.”
Sandra works in fibers and creates sculptures, collages, quilts, watercolors and artists' books. She says “The process of making art comes easily to me, I don’t suffer as other artists are known to do, I enjoy every second of creating my work. If I live to be 1000, most of my ideas will still not have been realized. However, explaining myself ‘as an artist’...this is not easy. Words like ‘motivation’ and ‘inspiration’ mostly make me laugh…... they’re just not me. I simply love to make art!”
