Arts Festival Logo Winner Announced

This year's contest saw 32 entries.

Marblehead, MA - The winner of the 2016 Marblehead Festival of Arts Logo Contest is Alicia Hart. The announcement was made during the Logo Premiere Event held Tuesday evening, Jan. 19, at The Landing Restaurant in Marblehead.

Ms. Hart created the winning design with an artful representation of a classic Marblehead 4th of July image to promote this year’s Festival. With 32 designs submitted this year, she faced plenty of healthy competition. The designs of four students from North Shore Community College’s graphic arts program made it into the top ten.

Alicia Hart received her BFA from Massachusetts College of Art & Design and studied graphic design, typography and illustration at California College of Art & Design in Oakland, California. As a professional designer Ms. Hart has worked primarily in corporate design. Clients have included KPIX-TV San Francisco, Thermo Fisher Scientific Instruments, Blue Cross, OneBeacon Insurance, and Holcim LaFarge Corporation. In addition to design, Ms. Hart enjoys travel, reading, and gardening.
