Athlete(s) of the Week: The Whitmore Twins

Alex and Hunter Whitmore are finishing up their high school careers by captaining the lacrosse team, after starring on the gridiron last fall and skating around the Boston Garden ice with a championship trophy earlier this year.

The twins are so competitive, that their parents won’t even tell them who was born first because it would undoubtedly end in an argument.

“They thought we’d battle over it if they told us who was born first,” Alex said at lacrosse practice.

“We do everything together, always have,” Hunter said. “We just stopped sharing the same truck we’ve been using to get around.

The two boys are good students and hope to attend the University of Vermont together next fall.

They tried to pull a switch and go to each other’s classes last year, but teachers caught on during third period.

“We should have tried it earlier in the year, before they got good looks at us,” Alex said.
