Back To School: Marblehead 2023-24 School Calendar

MARBLEHEAD, MA — Back-to-school planning has already begun in Marblehead, with calendars available to help parents prepare for the first day at Marblehead High School, Veterans Middle School and the elementary schools.

The first day of school for most students in Marblehead is Sept. 5.

Heading into the upcoming school year, some dates are subject to change. Here is the list of dates to know for this school year:

Marblehead Public Schools

First Day: Sept. 5 for Grades 1-12

Sept. 6 for kindergarten and preschool

Thanksgiving Break: Nov. 23 through Nov. 26 (early release on Nov. 22)

Winter Break: Dec. 25 through Jan. 1 (early release on Dec. 22)

February Break: Feb. 19 through Feb. 23

April Break: April 15 through April 19

Last Day: June 14 with no snow days; June 24 with five snow days

No School Days: Yom Kippur Sept. 25, Primary Election Day Sept. 26, Columbus/Indigenous Peoples' Day Oct. 9, Veterans Day Nov. 10, Conferences/Professional Development Dec. 15, Martin Luther King Jr. Day Jan. 15, Good Friday March 29 (early release), Memorial Day May 27, Juneteenth (if school year is extended) June 19.
