Marathon experience: I ran the Boston Marathon in 2014.

Reason for running: Running takes me out of my comfort zone. It’s my time to challenge myself like I ask my clients to do. With a knee replacement it’s not always easy to do, but I always love fighting the odds! I’m running for the Plummer House in Salem.

Training tip: Listen to your body. Twice this year I headed out for long runs over 15 miles and I stopped after 2 miles and knew my body just wasn’t having it. The thing is, after running a Boston I now know it’s your heart that gets across the finish line, the body is done by mile 20!
