Boys' Soccer Team Snaps Losing Streak

Marblehead High School's boys' varsity soccer team earned a big win.

Members of 's boys' varsity soccer celebrated their first conference win in two seasons Saturday after beating Manchester-Essex 2-1.

The team's first goal came on a Brett Leblanc corner that was passed on by Rudy Mukania and finished by Nate Berenson.

The second goal came from some good defensive work from Doug Levine, a pass by Josh Beloff and a 25-yard winning strike from Chris Brady.

"I could not be more proud of the boys tonight after picking up our first win," head coach Darren Benedick said. "It was huge to have captains Mike Brenan and Danny Plunkett back on the field, and we now boast a better record this season than last."

Although it wil be nice for the boys to stop and reflect on the win they've been chasing for two seasons, Benedick said it is back to work.
