8th Annual Back-to-School Backpack Drive is in Full Swing

Community of Friends has launched their annual Back-to-School Backpack and School Supplies Drive.  If you would like to sponsor a student-in-need by purchasing a new backpack and school supplies, there are still plenty of unsponsored children left.  You can stop by Mud Puddle Toys (1 Pleasant Street, Marblehead) and select a tag for a specific child.  These children come from either the Marblehead Food Pantry or Friends and Children Services of Greater Lynn (FCS).  FCS is an after school program that provides the students a safe, controlled environment.

We are asking that all backpacks be returned this weekend,  Sep 1-2, in order for us to get the backpacks to the children by Tuesday, Sep 4th.  For any questions, you can contact John Wilder at 781-639-3664 or jwilder64@yahoo.com.
