A Step on the Journey to Deeper Spirituality = Mindful Writing Group ~
Seeking a deeper sense of spirituality but stuck on how to get it? Join 20 other seekers on the journey. Hurry, registration closes Friday, March 22 and the group will be limited to 30.
Calling all writers, wish-they-wrote-more writers and want-to-be writers! You are invited to participate in a new offering that uses writing as a pathway to mindfulness. Using the book, The Pen and the Bell: Mindful Writing in a Busy World by Brenda Miller and Holly J. Hughes, participants will meet every three months to share writings as they parse through the book. An online forum on Facebook (for participants only) will also be creating to share work monthly. Face-to-face meetings will be at the Unitarian Universalist Church at 28 Mugford Street. The course will run for 20 months beginning now! Registration closes Friday, March 22. Access to computers and facebook is required but assistance for those unfamiliar to facebook will be provided. Electronic postings will be expected before the last Sunday of each month. Conversation on the facebook forum will be encouraged throughout and moderated by the course leader, Reverend Wendy von Zirpolo. Face-to-face sharings will be on Sundays at 12:30 (May 19, August 18, November 17, February 16, 2014, May 18, 2014, August 17, 2014 and November 16, 2014. A final celebration will be selected later on in 2014. Registration for the program is $50 ($35 for members of Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Marblehead) and includes a copy of the book.
