Headers Softball won for their Mom’s this week!

The Headers had a great week with wins in both games and impressive plays all around.  Billie Jacobs (pictured) had her senior league pitching début this week earning saves in both games by putting in great performances on the mound.  Helping Billie earn one of her saves was Anna Cloutman who made an unbelievable shoestring catch in left and turned a double play by throwing to second to catch the advancing runner.   Frankie Simon continues to pitch strikes and drive in runs.  McKenzie Joyce, who started on the mound Mothers Day, continues to do the same.  Sara Bornstein earned her first homerun of the season and is fielding very well at third.  Justy Needle has been working extremely hard in practice on her swing and absolutely crushed the ball Sunday.  Anastasia Vainas is dominating at first, as usual.  Right beside Anastasia is Marrisa Massaro at second who is making solid contact at the plate.  Finally, to close out a great week of softball; Montana Joyce made a perfect throw from center field to Meghan Tierney who was catching to tag an advancing runner at home plate for the final out Sunday.
