Obituary for Joshua Bayley Burke, age 52

  Joshua Bayley Burke, age 52, died peacefully in his
home June 16^th.  He is survived by his wife Susan Cohen Burke of Beverly, MassachusettsHe was
predeceased by his father, William C. Burke, Jr. and is the son of Marjorie W.
(Peggy) Burke.  Josh attended Marblehead
schools, Bridgeton Academy and the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, MA.

  Although he suffered from mental
illness, he often attended Pioneer House and helped others; particularly by
advocating for a better mental health system. 
He was a constant source of joy to his wife, Susan, his parents, his
brothers and their wives: William C. (Twig) Burke, III and his wife Tamie of
Marblehead, Jonathan J. Burke and his wife Julie of Castine, Maine, Nicholas A.
Burke and his wife Lisa of Hamilton, MA and Nathanael A. Burke and his wife
Frances of Marblehead, MA.

 He loved his nieces and nephews and constantly encouraged and supported them in all their endeavors.  Uncle Josh was cherished and loved by each of
them; Shannon, Conor, Rory, Tristan, Jackie, Julia and Deirdre.

His funeral will be held on Friday, June 21, 2013 at 10:00 AM from
the Murphy Funeral Home, 85 Federal St corner of North St, Salem to be followed
by a funeral service at 11:00 AM at Our Lady Star of the Sea Church, 85 Atlantic
Ave., Marblehead, MA 01945. Relatives and friends are
respectfully invited to attend. Visitation will be on Thursday from 4:00 PM to
8:00 PM in the Murphy Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers contributions can
