Buy A Bag, Help Marblehead's Abandoned Animals

The Stop & Shop in Swampscott is donating $1 for every reusable community bag sale in May to the Marblehead nonprofit.

North Shore residents can help out the environment at the same time they help some pets in need of a forever home this month through the Stop & Shop Community Bag and Giving Tag Program.

MARBLEHEAD, MA —North Shore residents can help out the environment at the same time they help some pets in need of a forever home this month through the Stop & Shop Community Bag and Giving Tag Program.

Every time someone purchases one of the $2.50 reusable community bags at the 450 Paradise Road location in Swampscott, $1 will be donated to Friends of Marblehead's Friends of Abandoned Animals.

Each month, each Stop & Shop chooses one nonprofit beneficiary from the program with this month's sales going to benefit the volunteer organization that provides food, shelter, medical care and good homes to dozens of abandoned North Shore pets each year.
