Buyer Says Kayak Sold Out From Underneath Him

Friday, May 17
- At 12:32 p.m., police received a report of a hit and run outside Carmen Jewelers.
- At 4:46 p.m., police received a report of stolen lumber on Baldwin Road.
- At 6:27 p.m., police responded to a report of a motor vehicle being hit by another vehicle. Police charged Patricia Patrick, 54, 2 Pleasant Ct., Marblehead with OUI liquor.
- At 9:49 p.m., police spoke to kids about jumping into traffic on Elm Street.
Saturday, May 18
- At 0:50 a.m., Swampsott police asked for help looking for a person who might be linked to a hit and run in Swampscott earlier in the evening.
- At 9:50 a.m., police responded to a report of a car that drove into the rear of a parked car.
- At 1:22 p.m., a person came into the police station and reported that he had bought a used kayak for $395 plus tax. The buyer said he went to get his truck to load the kayak and when he returned the seller had sold the kayak again. The buyer said the seller offered to refund his money but he wants the boat. Police investigated the matter.
- At 11:56 p.m., police received a report of five or six teenagers lying in the middle of the road, on Cornell Road. When a car approached they would reportedly run toward the church.
