If you’ve noticed a certain pride and color in Marblehead’s business community this week, you might have the initiative “Celebrate Marblehead” to thank.
In late March, the Marblehead Board of Selectmen approved a chamber of commerce initiative designed to offer Marblehead businesses ”more tools ... to attract customers and promote a festive and inviting town atmosphere,” according to a letter posted on the Marblehead Chamber of Commerce’s page.

Specifically, the letter relates, the chamber wants to help businesses recover from the long winter and presented a “Celebrate Marblehead” proposal to selectmen as one step in that recovery plan.
The plan allows businesses from April 15-Sept. 30 to engage in a number of activities that would otherwise not be permitted under current town regulations.
