Crossing Guard's Quick Trigger In Marblehead Police Log

MARBLEHEAD, MA — The following are excerpts from Thursday's Marblehead police log.
9:44 a.m. - Person reported an auto shop driver comes by his home on Washington Street every morning and throws metal at or near his truck. Thursday morning resulted in verbal argument.
10:13 a.m. - Woman said she was driving onto Maple last week and light was yellow. She said the crossing guard suddenly stepped in front of her and forced her to brake quickly. She said she was not going fast but was surprised by his actions. She also said the cars behind her had toa bruptly stop as well. She said Thursday she was a pedestrian and talking to the crossing guard. The light turned yellow and he suddenly stepped out into traffic again. She said she screamed for him to stop but didn't feel like he heard her. She said the car was coming very fast and braked quickly causing all the other cars behind him to also brake quickly.

12:14 p.m - Someone pocket-dialed 911 on Brown Street. Caller finally got on the line and awaited an officer to say it was a pocket dial.
1:47 p.m. - Bartender on Pleasant Street saying a female has had too much to drink and will be unable to take care of herself.
