Dumpster Diving for Receipts Reported Near 7-11

Wednesday, Jan. 21
At 9:43 a.m., an IRS “robocall” scam was reported.
At 9:51 a.m., an outside odor of gas was reported. Markings on the street indicated the gas company had been working there. Police did not detect an odor.

At 12:33 p.m., officers attempted to assist with a neighbor dispute.
At 2:39 p.m., smoke was spotted coming from behind a dry cleaner on Pleasant Street. The fire department responded and found a dryer to be smoking. The owner was notified.

At 4:02 p.m., a man reported someone had stolen vacuum bags from him over the past eight years.
At 10:25 p.m., a clerk at 7-11 called to report three men entered the store with a large bag. The clerk also had video of the men going through a nearby trashcan and removing several receipts from the trash.
