Children's Chess Club at the Library

Abbot Public Library Monday Night Children’s Chess Club
Monday nights! Learn chess from a master! From learning the movement of each piece to tactics and strategy, this program will give beginners and experienced players a new appreciation and love of the game. Senior chess master Mikhail Perelstyn has been teaching students of all ages for over thirty years. He will be teaching on Monday nights from 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm. The chess club meets for 10 weeks this fall, culminating with a tournament in on December 19. Designed for children ages 7 and older, the maximum number of participants will be 20. Registration is required.
