Free Evening of Music and Mayhem at the Marblehead Little Theatre to honor C.A.P.T.S.

The Marblehead Little Theatre invites you to a free evening of music and mayhem on October 6th. @8 PM.   Come and enjoy some of your favorite musical numbers as well dramatic moments from MLT’S award winning  shows from 2012 along with a sneak preview from their first show of 2013  “The Drowsy Chaperone”.  The Theatre is honoring the Marblehead based C.A.P.T.S. (Calling All Patriot Troop Support) organization.  The C.A.P.T.S  organization sends care packages to the soldiers all over the world.  Their motto is: “If we can’t bring them home, we will bring home to them”.  Kindly bring items with you to the show to donate for future boxes to be sent overseas.    Items needed include: toiletries, any wrapped food item for snaking, sunglasses, handheld electronic games, books, magazines.  For a complete list of items needed, please visit their website www.capts911.com.  The Marblehead Little Theatre will raffle off two tickets for The Drowsy Chaperone.

Tickets are now on sale for The Drowsy Chaperone.  Music and lyrics by Lisa Lambert and Greg Morrison.  Book by Bob Martin and Don McKellar.  The 2006 Tony Award winning musical transports the audience back to a time when musical theatre had one purpose... to entertain.   It all begins when a die-hard musical fan plays his favorite Broadway record, a 1928 smash hit called “The Drowsy Chaperone” and the show magically bursts to life.  You will instantly be immersed in the glamorous, hilarious tale of a celebrity bride and her uproarious wedding day, complete with thrills and surprises that take both the cast (literally) and the audience (metaphorically) soaring into the rafters.  The show is being produced by Bobby Kerrigan and Christine Dhionis.  The Drowsy Chaperone is being directed by Stephanie Manning, with musical direction by Lianne Goodwin and choreography by Lara Finn.
