Healthy Kids Day

Marblehead and Swampscott Families Invited to YMCA’s Healthy Kids Day®, April 27


Marblehead – On Saturday, April 27, from 12:00pm to 3:00pm, the Lynch/van Otterloo YMCA is celebrating YMCA’s Healthy Kids Day® with a free community event to get kids moving and learning and families living healthier. Healthy Kids Day is the Y’s national initiative to improve the health and well-being of families and to help them get a jump on creating a healthier summer.  


The Lynch/van Otterloo YMCA’s Healthy Kids Day will feature fun active play and educational activities that will inspire kids to carry a spirit of excitement and exploration throughout their summer, including a nature hike, guitar lessons, fishing, games in our pool, a reading initiative, family fitness classes, gymnastics dance party and cooking classes to name a few.  Home Depot is leading a wood working project.  Along with Eastern Mountain Sports running a full camping demo, Full Potential Chiropractic offering spinal screenings and New York Life providing Child ID Kits for parents.  The Marblehead and Swampscott Fire Departments will discuss fire safety.

The first 200 children will receive a gift bag.  Rafles and prizes will be handed out throughout the day!
