LEARNING ABOUT LEAF BLOWERS

In response to the proposed ban on leaf blowers that is a warrant item for this year's Town Meeting, an informational evening on the topic, Learning About Leaf Blowers, is to be held at the Abbot Public Library, on March 27th. Doors open at 6:30 pm; presentation begins at 7pm.  The public is invited to listen, learn and contribute to the conversation about the issue of the use of leaf blowers in our community.

The presentation will explore the reasons to consider regulation, including the effects on human health and the environment. There will also be discussion about the warrant item iteself, including what other towns have done to regulate leaf blowers in various ways.

Free and open to the public. Sponsored jointly by the Winter Garden Club; the Marblehead Neck Association; and HealthLink as a public service to educate the community on the issue of leaf blowers prior to Town Meeting.
