The Marblehead Arts Association is pleased to announce an exhibit of artwork from students who are members of the National Art Honor Society at Marblehead High School. Over 30 pieces of work from these young artists are on exhibit from March 16 through April 21. The exhibit is the first in the newly renovated gallery at the MAA, the Emerging Artist Gallery, representing work from up and coming new artists.
The National Art Honor Society (NAHS) is designed
specifically for high school students in grades 10-12. In 1978, the National
Art Education Association began the National Art Honor Society program to
inspire and recognize students who have shown an outstanding ability and
interest in art. The Marblehead High School NAHS strives to aid members in
attaining the highest standards in art scholarship, character, and community
service, and to bring art education to the attention of the school and
community.
