Opening Night for The Drowsy Chaperone Meet and Greet at The Marblehead Little Theatre

Tickets are now on sale for Marblehead Little Theatre’s upcoming production of The Drowsy Chaperone. Following the opening night’s performance this Friday, October 12th, there will be a meet and greet reception with the performers.  Wine and beer will be served.   A Five Corners Kitchen $50 gift certificate will be awarded to a lucky audience member at every performance for the Drowsy Chaperone.  The gift certificates are generously donated by Barry Edelman of the Five Corners Kitchen, 2 School Street, Marblehead. The 2006 Tony Award winning musical transports the audience back to a time when musical theatre had one purpose... to entertain.   It all begins when a die-hard musical fan plays his favorite Broadway record, a 1928 smash hit called “The Drowsy Chaperone” and the show magically bursts to life.  You will instantly be immersed in the glamorous, hilarious tale of a celebrity bride and her uproarious wedding day, complete with thrills and surprises that take both the cast (literally) and the audience (metaphorically) soaring into the rafters.  The show is being produced by Bobby Kerrigan and Christine Dhionis.  The Drowsy Chaperone is being directed by Stephanie Manning, with musical direction by Lianne Goodwin and choreography by Lara Finn.

Show dates are October 12-28.  Ticket prices are $23, whether they are purchased online or at the Spirit of 76 Bookstore.  For more information or for tickets go to www.mltlive.org
