OPENING RECEPTION SUNDAY, JUNE 2 FOR

"PAINTINGS BY JERI RABCHENUK"

TO BE EXHIBITED IN STETSON GALLERY THROUGHOUT JUNE

Paintings by artist Jeri Rabchenuk of Marblehead will be the featured exhibit throughout June in the Stetson Gallery of the Unitarian Universalist Church of Marblehead, 28 Mugford St., Marblehead. The opening reception will be held Sunday, June 2, 12-2p.m., with light refreshments served.

Jeri Rabchenuk started her art career as a student in Brooklyn, New York. Encouraged by an art teacher, she took major art classes in high school and then at the University of Pittsburgh where she earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Education.  Later as a student at the Simmons College Graduate School of Social Work in Boston, she taught art classes at the House of Seven Gables in Salem.  After graduation, she studied art for many years with professional artists and also at the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, Montserrat College of Art, and North Shore Community College.

Jeri’s work has been juried into and has received awards in the Marblehead Festival of the Arts. She exhibits with the Swampscott Art Association where she has also been an award winner.  In addition, her work has been exhibited at North Shore Community College, Union Hospital, Grosvenor Park in Salem, the Marblehead Art Association where she is an Artist Member, Marion Court College, the Cloister Gallery in St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church in Marblehead and in businesses in Marblehead, Danvers, Swampscott, Boxford and Salem.  She has created paintings for Catholic Charities, as well as for private individuals.  Jeri can be contacted at jerirab@aol.com

Stetson Gallery showcases artist members of the Unitarian Universalist Church of Marblehead and the wider artistic community. It is open during Church events, when Church staff are in the building, and by appointment. If lights are on and the door to the Gallery is unlocked, visitors may enjoy the exhibit. The Church Administrator and the curators can also make themselves available to show an exhibit.
