Red Bow Fair at the UU Church of Marblehead

The Red Bow Fair at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Marblehead, 28 Mugford Street, Marblehead, will be held, as always, on the Saturday of the Marblehead Christmas Walk, Dec. 3 from 9-3 p.m.

The Fair offers something for everyone, from sumptuous, reasonably priced gift baskets to a hand-made, artist-decorated doll house, to a homey, food-lovers café, to festive plants and flowers, computer equipment, white elephant room, new and gently-used books, hand-crafted ornaments and gift items, and baked goods from some of Marblehead’s finest kitchens.

Red Bow Fair Gift Baskets, which have become justly famous for their beauty, selection, and value, will feature some new twists this year. In addition to the ultra-special and elegant baskets, there will be many that are lower-priced for kids to buy for their Moms, Dads, and friends. Of course, there will be the famous selection of festive “Celebrate” baskets, “Tea for Two” and soothing spa baskets, with special treats from chocolate to wines and lots and lots of Gift Certificates.

Red Bow Fair raffles once again offer a chance to win 30 pounds of live lobster from Marblehead Lobster Company. And, as has become a Fair tradition, local craftsman Craig Gariepy has hand-built a dollhouse for the raffle. Each room of the dollhouse is lovingly decorated by accomplished artists in the church congregation. A gorgeous handmade quilt is a yet another raffle item

Take a break from shopping for lunch and something hot to drink at the Red Bow Café. Relax in the church Book Stall to choose an armful of new and gently-read hardcover ($1 each) and paperback ($.50 each) books.  You can browse the White Elephant room, check out the gently-used computer equipment, find a personalized holiday ornament, and purchase a holiday plant for yourself or a hostess and a pie for dessert. Choose a fresh cut wreath on the Church’s front porch, and your holiday is complete!

Fun, festive, fairly priced and phenomenal – that’s the Unitarian Universalist Church’s Red Bow Fair. Don’t miss it Saturday, Dec. 3 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. during Marblehead’s Christmas Walk. For more information call 781-631-1215.
