Discover the majestic Copper Beech tree that anchors the Sedgwick property.  Planted in 1917, its canopy shades the 1925 Charleston-style home keeping it cool in the summer.  Observe the locations of other mature shade trees such as the Tulip tree, Silverbell and Scholar tree.  Other beneficial shade trees for walkways and terraces you will see are Dogwoods, Stewartias, Japanese Tree Lilacs and Hornbeams.  Many of these strategically placed trees have all season interest and provide a canopy to keep outside areas and your home cool.
