Join the Unitarian Universalist Church of Greater Lynn (UUCGL) for Spring Bird Watching at the Marblehead Neck Wildlife Sanctuary on Saturday morning, May 4, at 8:30 am. There will be an additional walk on Saturday May 11 at the same time.
John Benson, environmentalist and avid North Shore bird watcher, will lead a short hike through some of the sanctuary’s open spaces. Benson remarked, “At peak migration, it's wonderful what you can see there. Wildflowers too -- the Trout Lilies and Wood Anemones (ah-nem-o-nees) should be coming out in the next couple of weeks.”
The public is invited to attend. Meet at the UUCGL parking lot at 101 Forest Ave., in Swampscott. From there we will carpool to the limited parking space in Marblehead. You can also meet at the Sanctuary in Marblehead at 9 am. Dress warmly and bring binoculars if you have them.
