
On Saturday, June 11, in Charter Hall at the Marblehead Community Charter Public School on 17 Lime Street, the MCCPS Theatre Co. will be putting on a production of the student written and produced musical Three Free Birds. Three Free Birds is a rock opera written and directed by Alex Kerai of Marblehead in the eighth grade at MCCPS. He is assisted by John Newhall of Salem in directing, who is also in the eighth grade at MCCPS. The music and lyrics were written by Alex Kerai with some assistance from John Newhall and is being performed by Temporarily Out of Sorts, a local band. The cast of Three Free Birds consists of a wide array of students from the fourth through the eighth grade. Three Free Birds will open and close on Saturday June, 11 at 7:00. Tickets are $5 for kids and $10 for adults. Light refreshments will be served throughout the show. Tickets can be bought at the door, or online via MCCPS's website, marbleheadcharter.org .
