U-15 Girls Select Lacrosse Team Try Outs

We are happy to offer a U-15 Marblehead Girls Select Lacrosse League for Spring, 2012!

We are still trying to sort through all the details, e.g. selecting a league, coaching and cost, but we are definitely having a team. We realize there are many spring options including elite lacrosse, travel soccer and private school teams, but we hope that if your daughter wants to make spring lacrosse a priority, you will try out for the Marblehead U-15 Select Team.

Try Outs will be at the Green Street Fields (across from the Charter School) on Saturday, October 15th from 3:30 - 5:00. Rain date will be October 29th at 3:30, also at Green Street. Girls should come prepared as follows:

·         white shirt

·         goggles

·         mouth guard

·         stick

Participation in the Select team will require participation in the Marblehead Girl's Youth Lacrosse League Recreational program. If your daughter cannot make the October 15^th date, but still wants to participate, please let us know. We may use the October 29 date as a make-up, if necessary.

We are very excited to offer this new opportunity – evaluators will be looking for current skills as well as the athleticism and capability to learn new skills. We hope your daughters will come to the try outs even if they are relatively new to the sport. If your daughter will be attending – please email both bhdetels17@gmail.com and  j.ronan@verizon.net  prior to October 10th with your daughter's name and current grade (please note U-15 is for current 7th and 8th graders). There is no cost for the try-out, however, your daughter needs to be current with USA Lacrosse for insurance purposes.
