Five Things to Know: Blizzard Edition

1. Weather Watch: You know there's more weather to come, but here's for starters during the day: Snow, mainly after 8 a.m. High near 34. Breezy, with a east wind 13 to 23 mph, with gusts as high as 38 mph. Total daytime snow accumulation of 1 to 3 inches possible. Read on for more about the nor'easter.

2. Coastal Flood Warning: Early Friday morning the National Weather Service upgraded the coastal flood watch for Marblehead to a coastal flood warning. Storm surges of two-three feet are expected to make some vulnerable shore roads impassable and the Saturday morning high tide could even threaten damage to homes on the immediate shoreline.

3. No School Today: Marblehead Public Schools are closed Friday.
4. Magician Sports Postponed or Cancelled: Prep sports are also seeing some changes because of the storm. For a run-down of which Marblehead High games have been postponed or cancelled, check this link.

5. Town Urges You to Stay Off Streets: The town sent out an advisory urging motorists to stay off the streets from 7 p.m. Friday to 8 p.m. Saturday so crews can plow them.
