Girls Lacrosse Downed By Danvers
Marblehead High School's girls' lacrosse team battled back but couldn't manage to defeat Danvers Tuesday afternoon.
girls' lacrosse team played Danvers today in a Northeast North vs. South conference match up.
Marblehead (6-2-1 non-league, 3-0 league) played a determined style of lacrosse but were defeated by Danvers 11-9. The Magicians found themselves playing catch-up after going into halftime down 7-3. Althought they had six goals on seven shots in the second half, their rally fell just short.
Two Marblehead goals were called back which kept the Magicians from being able to even the score or take the lead.

Marblehead scored with 37 seconds left in the game to make the score 11-9 and one of the two goals taken back was scored with 28 seconds left in the game.
