MHS Girls' Track Crushes Saugus
Marblehead High School's girls' track team breezed past Saugus Wednesday afternoon.
The following information was provided by Marblehead High School's girls' track coach Michael Toomey:
's girls' track team opened up the 2012 season with a convincing 102-29 win over Saugus.
"We had a lot of great performances and five qualifying marks for the MIAA state meet later this season," Toomey said in an email. "We have a lot of work to do over the next few weeks and a big meet against Danvers on Monday, but its nice to have the first one under our belt."

- Mimi Goetz - Shotput, Javeline, 100, and 4x100
- Cailin Daley - 200 and Long Jump
- Monica Thorne - Triple Jump
- Steph Lundgren - 100 hurdles
- Maura Tubridy - 400
- Paige Ferrucci - 800
- Janaya Randall - 1 mile
Ferrucci (800), Goetz (100, shot, jav) and Thorne (TJ) all qualified for states.
